Kathiravan Tutorial College was established in Tirupur in 1960. In those days, around 50 Kilometers from Tirupur, Kathiravan Tutorial College was the only private institution. Except from Coimbatore, Students from Erode, Gobichettipalayam, Bhavani, Vijayamangalam, Uttukuli, Kangayam, Vellakoil, and other surrounding places of Tirupur also, joined and studied at Kathiravan Tutorial College. The classes were conducted for failed P.U.C and S.S.L.C candidates. Every year the school achieved more than 95% of the result and centum result in some years. The school was called by the public K.T.C. It has become a favourite expression of Tirupur people from then to till date. The school with its hard and dedicated work attained a good reputation among the public.

Every year hundreds of students came out with flying colours. For the past 63 years, more than 50,000 students have studied and succeeded. The result was achieved only by hard work and excellent teaching and coaching.

The Founder Principal and Founder Chairman of the school, Kathiravan M. K. Palanisamy was always studious, hard-working and dedicated towards his work. His excellent guidance and great support were remarkable.

THE HISTORY OF KATHIRAVAN MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, TIRUPUR

Kathiravan Nursery & Primary school was started in Tirupur in the year 1978 with a strength of 50 students. The people of Tirupur welcomed the commencement of this school and admitted their children from LKG to V standard. Step by step the school was upgraded as Kathiravan Matriculation Higher Secondary school and was recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The Strength of the school increased tremendously and excellent teaching with a unique syllabus with international standards, classroom ambience and coaching were offered to students. Attaining continuous centum results have become the synonym of Kathiravan. 

Nowadays Hundreds of private schools would have bloomed in Tirupur and its surroundings. But for all these schools Kathiravan School is the pioneer. Kathiravan has always taken on great responsibility in guiding these schools. Guiding and helping remain as a great culture of Kathiravan School.
